A Note from Pastor Kyoung Choi
Pastor Kyoung Choi was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. At the age of 15, he started to attend Deaf church in Taejun City Korea. The gospel witness of Rev. Young Choi, he gratefully received Jesus Christ as his Savior. In his lifetime, he still had a strong desire to learn and was a student of life. It was at the age of 20, God called him to ministry through Re. Young Cho in 1984.
By 1981, he graduated from the High School for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing in Seoul, South Korea. At Korea, he went to study of Full Gospel and received a B.T degree from Theological Seminary in 1992. He moved to Minnesota and to continue his education. In 1998, he enrolled at North Central University (it was known as Deaf International Bible College) where he is pursuing a graduate degree in Bachelor of Arts. It was 1992 to 1995; he came to Ephatha Deaf Church for the Deaf with 3 years of ministry as an evangelist experience for Wednesday and Sunday nights. At Korea, he has a passion to teach students how to study the Word of God for themselves. From the time, he desired to know God in a deep and personal relationship and to share this relationship with others through proclaiming a gospel. At Seoul Ephatha Deaf Church, he was introduced to experiencing teacher by spending rest of his enjoying the presence of a glorious God with them.
He went to Korea with Emory Dively about International Deaf Assemblies of God as it was purpose of World Deaf Fellowship. With all of energy and love, his desire to reach the world while strengthening their faith and deepening their Christian love for each other and unbelieving associates, are a means that God is using to deepen the spiritual roots of our people and to growing enthusiasm for spreading a passion for the authority of God in all things for the joy of all peoples through Jesus Christ.
It was newly established of 1991; he has set church, Asian American Deaf Church at Twin Cities Deaf Assemblies of God in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He was seeking to provide working with our various ministries, missions, internships, pray, teach, sing and worship these fruits prayerfully are all working of God’s continued call on his life to spread the world. He mirrors the compassion of God relationally within the body, a gift God has grown in him through a wide variety of experience including our church, and his family. And please remember, no matter where you are on your spiritual journey, we welcome you to worship with us!
